Dorothy Prentice, President
A native of Scotland, Dorothy Prentice is a certified aromatherapist with many years of experience in the health and beauty industry as well as in corporate business. Dorothy's groundbreaking advancements in aromatherapy for environmental fragrance and promotion of healthful skin concepts gave rise to Dorothy Prentice Aromatherapy in 1993.
Having studied extensively in Europe, Dorothy has received diplomas in Aromatherapy, Skin Physiology, and Cosmetic Chemistry. Her studies have also taken her to Purdue University, where she completed advanced botanical studies on pure essential oils, and Marymount University, where she earned an MBA with an emphasis in Finance and a Master of Science in Management for Organizational Effectiveness. Dorothy is also an accredited graduate of Specialized Training in Statistical Process Control.
Prior to founding DPA, Inc., Dorothy headed Beauty Therapy, Inc., which was founded in 1979 to introduce European skin care techniques to the United States. After acquiring FDA approval for her imported skin care line, she successfully marketed to spa owners and consumers via her teaching seminars throughout the United States as well as on regional television broadcasts.
As a renowned expert in the field of aromatherapy, Dorothy continues to combine her technological skills with advanced business management to bring highly designed and crafted products to the marketplace for the health and well being of the consumer. Dorothy also performs as a consultant to spas and resorts, engaging in the development of new products. She also works with clients to provide custom designed programs for high-end hotels.
Heidi Harrison, Vice President
Heidi joined DPA, Inc. at its inception in 1993. With many years of experience in public relations, sales management, and education. Her diverse work background has been invaluable as DPA, Inc. has taken its product line into the international marketplace, attending and setting up trade show displays in many cities. Heidi writes and edits articles for publication and acts as the press coordinator on behalf of DPA, Inc.
Kimberly Hinds, Vice President
Kimberly has been with DPA, Inc. since its incorportion in 1994. Her business background training experience has enabled her to streamline the customer service operations for DPA, Inc. Kimberly also oversees web page development and implementation, where her software expertise is highly valued. She fields all customer support associated with online product orders, as well as onsite at hospitality trade shows. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Virginia Tech and has several years' experience as an adult educator and software trainer.
